Awesome. This book has fundamentally changed the way I trade. The addition of new patterns, trade management, and some concepts not covered in Vol 1 made this an invaluable resource. It has offered me a more comprehensive understanding of the system which has enabled me to trade patterns I avoided in the past with conviction (and profit). I'm so grateful to Carney for laying out his system in such a duplicatable way. I'm currently in the process of devouring all the rest of the resources he has to offer.
Must have! This book provides an information on Reciprocal AB=CD, 5-0, Alternate Bat new patterns not covered in his previous books. I really appreciated the time was dedicated to the book. It is very detailed. Charts are very big and easy to read and understand. My favorite part of this book is a lot of explanation and examples. Scott did not missed anything. You need to buy "Harmonic Trading volume 1" and "Harmonic Trading" also. They are very useful. Scott gave the citation to his letters with target. This is my first time I see such detailed explanation on why the market had a historic 2003 and 2009 with his perfect targets and explanation. His books are the most detailed on how Fibonacci numbers really can work for you! I also like a lot of very recent examples!
In his second volume on Harmonic Trading, Scott Carney completes coverage of harmonic patterns and presents new strategies (BAMM and RSI BAMM). The second volume compliments the first very well and the information is informative to traders of all levels of success. I was discouraged by the number of chart labeling errors and typographical errors in the book, especially after he was advised of some of the same errors earlier from his website and other works. The errors are sufficiently significant to slow the reader, who must stop, back-track, verify, and correct the mistakes. This is unfortunate and preventable event to an otherwise instructive book on harmonic trading patterns.
Volume two is further application of an observant, balanced mind. This book expands on volume one. There are opportunities during the pattern development such as his BAMM. This is an acronym he makes clear as you read his work. As in Vol 1 his writing clarifies with lots of examples.
Mr Carney is very HONEST and comes up front with the HARMONIC PATTERNS and their behaviorUpon reading Vol 2, I was just amazed in how much detail is given regarding Harmonic Trading,I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you READ Vol 1 first!!, get down to business and spend enough fair time with the subject at hand, that's my recommendation.You can learn to benefit having LESS RISK with a HIGHER PROFIT REWARD.Mr. Carney is very honest and comes up front with the pattern and his outlook on them in markets.Just like I mention in Volume 1, a SUCCESSFUL TRADER requires MORE than just Harmonic Trading but its a SOLID Foundation.
Following on from Volume 1 this certainly adds to the store of knowledge on the subject. Like Volume 1 a worthwhile contribution to the trading/investment industry.
Its still a well written book, a couple of typos I think, but a good chunk of the book is used up with historic examples to prove his point of the new patterns. I think you can get away with just book one as a good foundation for harmonic trading. The only method I found useful was the rsi Bamm method.
